Füsun Aramaz presented the letters of credentials accrediting her as the Ambassasor of Turkey in Romania to on 29 January 2019.
A career diplomat, she joined the Turkish Ministry of
Foreign Affairs in 1991, where she held various portfolios, most recently as
Deputy Director General for Northern and Central Europe and the Baltics
She previously served as head of department in the
Directorate General for Security Affairs (2013-2014) and in the Directorate
General for the Council of Europe and Human Rights (2007-2010).
Füsun Aramaz served abroad as Consul General in Constanta
(2010-2013), Deputy Consul General (2004-2007) and Vice Consul (1997-2001) in
Antwerp, Belgium, and Third Secretary at the Turkish Embassy in Almaty,
Füsun Aramaz was born in Ankara in 1969. She has adegree in International Relations from Boğaziçi University (1991) and a master’s degree in International Relations from the Middle East Technical University (2001).
Füsun Aramaz is married, with two children. She speaks Turkish and English.
